Novy have been awarded a prestigious Gold Award in the Company of the Year category at the Henry van de Velde Awards 2021
Novy, the internationally renowned luxury appliance expert have been awarded a prestigious Gold Award in the Company of the Year category at the Henry van de Velde Awards 2021. The Henry van de Velde awards are an initiative of Flanders DC (the Flemish organisation for enterprise in the creative industry), with cooperation from the OVAM (Public Waste Agency of Flanders) and are presented in recognition of the Flemish design industry in Belgium.
For the past 26 years, the Henry van de Velde awards have focused on the criteria of professionalism, strategy, sustainability and innovation and have been presented to Belgian designers, companies, products and projects. There is no registered nomination process, as the awards are adjudicated and presented by a jury of industry professionals.
The jury has honoured Novy for its special attention to design over the years. The jury said: "We decided to grant the award to Novy because this success story is the result of a strategy in which innovation, quality, sustainability and design are so important that a product such as the cooker hood is constantly remembered in this company and undergoes numerous transformations”.
Innovation and design have been part of Novy’s DNA since 1907. The company has been recognised with numerous international design awards during that time and most recently has been the recipient of Red Dots and iF Awards for Product design, also the recipient of Plus X awards for innovation. In the UK, Novy has also been the recipient of EK&B Business and Designer Magazine Awards.
